Mark your calendar for our upcoming Missions Sunday on Nov 17! We will worship together as one church in a combined service, and take a special offering for missions. Our goal for 2025 is $20,000. Learn more at butlerchurch.org/missions. Following the service there will also be a lunch fellowship time together.

Let’s remind ourselves today that our joy, our love, our hope, is not rooted in a system, a candidate, or a desired result.  It is found in Christ and lived out in union with his Spirit. Our neighbor is still our neighbor, and our call has not changed to love those who are far and those who are near. Being a citizen of heaven means doing the work of God's Kingdom today in this place, where God has placed us. 

Jeremiah 29:4-7   “This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:  “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.  Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.  Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 

Our annual business meeting is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, Dec 8. More informaition will be available soon for that meeting. The budget proposal for 2025 is available this Sunday in print or from the church office. If you have questions you can talk with the Council representative for your congregation.
