  • Carmen Owen (Kansas/N Thailand)

    Carmen gives support to the Naomi House ministry and leadership in Thailand. 


    Please continue to pray for this ministry: 

    • For Naomi House ministry leaders Siriwan & Wichan; for energy and protection
    • For those impacted by the flooding in Northern Thailand, and opportunities to share the love of Jesus there (Praise God for the families that have put their trust in Him through the care they have received!)
    • For ongoing unity, wisdom, discernment for the Naomi House team 
    • For project funding for Naomi House and missionary support for Carmen
    • For unsaved family members of NH ladies to choose salvation and new life in Jesus
    • For the land we are praying in faith will be a future ministry site. We have felt God is leading us to BUILD a larger space for all the new friendships being built, so that many more people can know Jesus and learn how to love Him and follow Him with their lives!

  • Ricky & Karen Sanchez (Central Thailand)

    Ricky and Karen serve with YWAM based at the Abundant Life Home (ALH) orphange, in ministry outreaches, and with the Global Sports ministry.


    Please continue to pray for: 

    - our mission team as we prepare to launch a DTS in Chonburi perhaps this year. Katie, Jeff, and us completed the mandatory training course this month, and are certified to open and lead a DTS! Pray for a building. There is a building we are praying about, and we need Jesus to guide us.

    -  new believers from Global Sports, to be discipled by their local churches.

    for the global sports players, as several are discerning long term missions and ministry opportunities, and hoping to study the Bible

    - new monthly donors for ALH. With the ministry expanding, we need new monthly givers!

  • Kumrod Family (N Thailand)

    Sara writes: 

    Praise God for two new believers, Chuay & Pit, at Rimkhan Church who experienced God's love when the church family helped them clean up after flooding. They were baptized in November! They are visiting their neighbors to continue to share the good news!


    We had some great outreach events in various locations at Christmas. Please pray with us for continued opportunities to build on these relationships and for growing interest in faith in Jesus.


    We thank God that our four sons are enjoying learning and growing in a Christ-centered environment at Grace International School. They are all playing soccer and one son running cross country. Please pray for God's continued provision for our boys' education as we continue to trust God for their tuition. Sara trusts God for daily wisdom and strength as a second grade co-teacher at GIS.


    We are trusting God for provision as we prepare to visit the States in June and July 2025. Please pray with us for additional financial supporters. Also pray for visa renewals for Ozz and two of our boys which are needed.


    Please pray for safety and fruitful ministry as Ozz travels to visit and provide biblical training and encouragement for other MB churches throughout Thailand.

  • Nzash Lumeya (Fresno)


    Praise the Lord for missions support from Butler Church!


    Praise God for our graduates serving the Lord locally and abroad: Philippines and Vietnam. 


    Pray for mission students and missionaries for Fresno. 


    Pray over the opportunities for relationship building through available resources. Like milk evangelism!


    Praise God for the opportunity to travel to Congo this past summer (updates coming soon!)

  • Peru Partnership

    Our Missions Team has identified Peru and Multiply missionaries or church leaders there for potential future support by Butler. Pastor Scott was part of the Peru Vision Team in October 2024. We are continuing to explore with the leadership there, along with Multiply, ways Butler can join in supporting ministry in Peru. These could include sending short term teams to help facilitate pastor training or church leader retreats.


    UPDATE! 

    > Butler was able to send a special gift at the end of 2024 toward a leadership training retreat for Peru pastors and church leaders. 

    > One of our Butler couples is looking into the possibility of assisting with future training events.


    Continue to pray for ...

    - wisdom and good communication 

    - availability of volunteers and coordination of schedules

    - hearts to serve and learn from each other

  • Short Term Missions

    Butler Church also sends teams and supports individuals in short-term mission assignments both locally and overseas! Join us in praying for those who will be called and sent in the future. 


    STM opportunities include:

    - Guadalajara, Mexico in spring

    - locally in the Central Valley in summer

    - Brazil in 2025 with Global Sports

    - possible overseas team to Thailand or Peru

    - overseas with our missionaries!

Updates from Sara Kumrod
Praise God for new believers who were recently baptized! Two of these were adults who experienced God's love when the church family helped them clean up after flooding. They are visiting their neighbors to continue to share the good news!

Please pray for Christmas outreaches in three locations in Northern Thailand. On Dec 15 is an outreach at a Thai School for the Rimkhan community and that week an outreach to Doi Saket. On Dec 21 an outreach is planned at a Hmong village in Chiang Rai.

About Missions Month

Each year, we take time as a church to hear from our missionaries serving both locally and around the world, pray over them, and to collect a special offering toward their support for the coming year. In November 2020 we expanded the celebration to fill an entire month both in person and virtually! Here we continue to highlight stories, pray, and provide ways to connect with our missionaries.  Read more here.

We continue support for our missionaries in relationship, throughout the year. This is why Butler also has a growing Missionary Support Team which will help our church family connect regularly with our missionaries…and there is room for more to join this team, including you!  If you would like to join in or learn more, let a pastor know, or email missions@butlerchurch.org.
