Welcome!

Women's Ministry at Butler Church happens in a variety of ways through each of our congregations. That can include a formal weekly Bible study with Faith Community, women's Gala Dinner with Amor y Fe, gatherings in homes and around meals with Asian Grace. and small groups or events led by women from Common Ground.

~ Spring 2025 ~

Women's Bible Study at Butler

A new study is starting again this spring on Wednesday mornings here at Butler Church, starting February 28. 

This series will be learning about Jesus through the book of Mark. The group will again be led by Helen Ens and Ingrid Russell, and will meet weekly at Butler on Wednesdays at 10AM in Room 18 (in the courtyard, near the large parking lot). 

Baking Day & Bake Sale

We're having a baking day on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 pm at the church. All Butler women are invited.

We had a fun time on our baking day last year and are looking forward to this one again!


This will again be preparation for a fundraiser bake sale to help with the cost of registration for those who would like to attend the Women's Retreat in April. So, if you're interested in attending the Women's Retreat this spring, please come and help out!


 If you'd like to bake from home, or just purchase baked goods, we'll be sending out preorder form soon! The bake sale day is scheduled for Sunday, March 16.

Baby Shower

Butler ladies are planning a baby shower for Saturday morning, March 22 at 11:00 AM.

Living Your Life on Mission
This shower is to bless Sharon Chebet Tarey and Jessica Reed, and will take place at the home of Beth Stephens (a short drive from Butler Church). Our Common Ground women's ministry team is hosting this celebration, but all Butler women are invited. 

Sharon and Rodney welcomed their baby in mid-February. (Congratulations!) Jessica is due in April. In place of purchasing gifts, we are planning to bless each mom with a cash gift that they can use to meet their family's specific needs. To contribute to the group gift or if you have other questions, text Melissa Ens 559-825-1213 

NOTE:  If you need a ride from the church, please let us know in advance! Also, this location is not set up for entertaining children, so childcare will be required. (We are providing that for Jessica!) Thank you.

Women's Retreat Opportunity

Several Butler ladies are planning to attend the Calvin Crest women's retreat April 25-27. If you're interested, you'll want to review the event details at the link below and register individually. Our group coordinator for the retreat is Michelle Pauls. You can talk with her or contact the Church Office for more information. Scholarship funds are available so don't let cost hold you back!

Women's Ministry Lunch

Mark your calendar for Sunday, May 4 at noon!

Following the women's retreat, we'll have a salads potluck lunch for all ladies interested in gathering to share about the themes from the retreat and reflect on these together. More details will be shared as this date gets closer.

Future Possibilities

Several ideas have been shared for future women's ministry events. If you have a suggestion for upcoming events or would like to be part of planning one of these, please let the church office know!

Sister Studies are video devotionals which were prepared by Butler Church member Melissa Ens for the women of Butler Church. You can find the written and video series at: sisterstudies.melissaens.com. 

In Person Gatherings

Group gatherings are also planned throughout the year. Often these center around the interest or talents of our Butler women, like cooking, coffee, gardening, and a spring tea party. We share each other's stories, share a word from scripture, and encourage each other. Check the Events page for announcements of upcoming events.
