Opportunities to Serve!
There are many ways to join in and serve at Butler. You can find out more and sign up below!
Updated August 2024: The fall season is almost upon us, so as you look at your calendar for the coming months, consider setting aside time to serve with a ministry team! There are several different teams we are building, and a variety of skills and talents are needed. To find out more about any of the following, please talk with a pastor or contact the church office.
Follow Up Team
making contact with new visitors; or following up with those who have expressed a need
Gifts/skills on this team* communication, evangelism, compassion, prayer
Gifts/skills on this team* communication, evangelism, compassion, prayer
Children & Youth Ministry
serving on Sundays alongside other volunteers
preparing materials or games
connecting with parents or mentoring young adults; Literacy Mentors reading tutors
* creativity, listening, communication, energy, mentoring
Office Volunteers
supporting the office staff weekly or monthly
projects include: bulletin, foyer information, or being a front desk greeter; church directory update project (helping a few Sundays or mid week); optional: online computer or design work from home !
* hospitality, technology, detail oriented
Food Ministry Teams
helping with Breakfast Ministry or Food Distribution; restocking/organizing pantry supplies of emergency food; connecting with or distributing food to those in need
* service, compassion
Prayer Team
joining the staff in praying over weekly prayer requests; praying through updates from our ministry teams (children/youth/missions)
prayer over upcoming events, leading prayer moments
* prayer, compassion, wisdom, confidentiality

Missionary Support Team, Facilities Projects, Sound/Tech Teams, Custodial Volunteers Team, etc.
* A variety of these gifts, skills, and talents are needed; you may have a specific one but don't need all of them! This is why we serve together as a team!
