Our Story

Our Story ...

Each fall we take some time to reflect back on the journey God has brought us on and look forward to the ministries and opportunities that are before us. This year's theme is Our Story.  Butler Church goes back over 60 years and our story is still being written. (Read more here.) We had a great time sharing our faith stories together on our October Vision Sunday and are continuing to share more throughout the year.

Sharing a part of your story...

Each of our individual stories together forms Our Story! Y are invited to share a part of your faith journey. It could be the story of how you came (or returned!) to Jesus or to Butler Church, or of a particular ministry, group, or individual that has been meaningful to you. It may be just a fond memory or even a difficult one. Maybe it is the story of how, over time, Jesus has helped shape you. It can come in the form of written story, video testimony, or through a picture, song, art or poetry.

The idea is to compile and share as many stories as we can from every part of our church family, because each of our stories forms together Our Story! So, please help us tell Our Story, by sharing yours! What you share can be brief, and at minimum could be a current picture and the dates you have been a part of Butler Church.

Ready to share?

So, take some time now to think about your faith journey, and your time with Butler Church. As you reflect, what comes to mind? How would you express that?

The options are wide open!

Here are a few ideas!

  • Find a photo that represents part of the story

  • Write out a memory.

  • Record a short video testimony (3-4 minutes; contact Pastor Scott if you'd like help recording it!)

  • Share a song that reminds you of a special part of the story. (Let us know if you'd like to sing or play it!)

  • Create something that reflects the story... your art could be in the form of a drawing, painting, or even poetry!

If you would like to share any of your story in written form, you can drop it off on a Sunday morning, or email to info@butlerchurch.org. Thanks!
