Butler Kids

 Welcome Butler Kids and Parents!

This page was created especially for you!

Advent 2024

We had a great Kids' Club this summer and have been busy with Meet & Treat this fall as well as missions and thanksgiving in November! Now as we enter the advent season we get to return to the stories of Jesus' birth and the themes of Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love.

Plan to join in for our annual Christmas Eve service on Dec 24...the children will also be singing a song!

Kids should come at 5:30pm to Room 18 to get ready and practice our song together.

On
Sunday morning December 22 we'll also have a Christmas pajama party! This will be during our regular children's ministry time. Parents can help out by donating snacks or desserts. Contact Teacher Maria for more details.

Here's the song so you can practice at home! The lyrics are also at the bottom of this page.

Sunday mornings
There are in person classes for kids on Sundays! Some Sundays there will also be a table in the sanctuary with activity pages for the kids to do while in service. Many of these connect with our lesson and we will soon have the kids share the verse, or big idea, or activity page in our service.  Kids will be dismissed for their class during the 10:45am worship services.  (Please remember to to stay home if anyone in your household is experiencing covid-like symptoms. Thanks!) We're looking forward to being together!

Together with our Sunday School volunteers, I would like to encourage you to have a regular Church at Home time. Perhaps call it Jesus and Jammies! This is something you can do with your kids early in the morning or before bed at night. Please know we are praying for you and your child/children.

Love, Teacher Maria
It is our hope that the resources on this page will empower parents to take an even more active role in the spiritual training of their children. If you would like a printed copy of the lessons or supplies for the suggested crafts, please contact me and we can make arrangements on how to get it to you.

I like to get in touch with families of our Butler kids by phone or even video! You are always welcome to contact me directly, too.

"Oh What a Glorious Night" Lyrics

The shepherds came to | see the baby | Stood by his mother's side
Here laid the Savior | inside a manger

Oh what a glorious night, Oh what a glorious night

[Chorus]

I hear the angels singing | halleluiah | Let the earth receive her king
I know that love has come
| Sing it out
Jesus Christ is born, Jesus Christ is born

The shepherds wondered | They couldn't hide it | Told everyone in sight
All were amazed when | they heard how God came down

on the glorious night
God came down on this glorious night

[Chorus]

… Glorious, Glorious, What a Glorious night...

[Chorus]

… All is calm now | All is quiet | A Star shining in the sky
Below in Bethlehem | The king is sleeping
Oh What a Glorious Night, Oh What a Glorious Night

Songwriters: Ben Mcdonald / Casey Brown / David Frey / Jonathan Lindley Smith
